Levin or Corolla for Dealer Batches: Consistency and Records
For a dealer order, the question is whether each Levin or Corolla meets the approved order specification. A retail preference comparison does not establish batch consistency. Define substitutions, record requirements and acceptance standards before selecting stock.

Write the permitted stock mix
State acceptable production periods, original markets, powertrains, grades, colours and new or used status. Mark which deviations need written approval. Do not replace an earlier Levin Hybrid with current Levin L, or a China-market Corolla with another market version, simply because the names are related. A substitution must be reviewed against the actual requirement, not described as an automatic upgrade. Agree a process for units that fail the standard before a batch is assembled.
Keep the evidence per VIN
Use a schedule with factory designation, registration status, mileage where relevant, equipment, keys, inspection date and available documents. One representative photograph or report cannot establish the entire order. Reconcile the schedule against physical identification before release. Record changed parts, known repairs and unresolved differences for each unit. A batch-level statement such as low mileage or high grade should not replace vehicle-level records or erase exceptions from the acceptance decision.

Check support and specification continuity
Confirm that destination workshops can identify the approved variants and obtain appropriate technical information. Similar-looking screens or badges do not establish the same software, language or service requirements. For hybrid units, specify the expected diagnostic information separately from petrol checks. Evaluate whether the variety actually suits your customers and service arrangements. Do not invent resale margins or universal interchangeability to justify mixed stock; make the permitted variation explicit and review its practical consequences.
Accept and cost the order consistently
Separate car price, agreed preparation and delivery basis, with exceptions tracked per unit. Identify inspection, custody and loading responsibilities and retain the final accepted VIN schedule. Do not assume that a cheaper mixed batch remains cheaper after additional work or document discrepancies. Where the seller offers substitutes, get revised evidence and costs before approval. For an individual family car, use the separate Levin-versus-Corolla buying comparison rather than these batch acceptance rules.

Questions buyers ask
Can a supplier substitute Corolla for Levin without further review?
Only if the agreed order explicitly permits the confirmed substitute. Similar names do not constitute approval.
Can one inspection report cover all the cars?
No. Keep the relevant findings and acceptance decision linked to each VIN.
